Christmas is a time for families gathering together at home and sharing the joy of the season one with the other. It is a busy time with preparations being made for travel home, for buying presents and for buying the food. It is also a time for celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ our Saviour. In the busyness of this Christmas I wonder if you would take time to remember that first Christmas and the excitement around the arrival of a new born baby. This Christmas in Cornton Baptist we are considering Christmas at Home and thinking on getting ready for Christmas looking at the prophecies given years before about this gift to the world; on gathering round for Christmas as Mary & Joseph headed home to Bethlehem, as the angels came from heaven and as the shepherds left their fields and sheep to see this new born baby; and on gifts rendered (given) at Christmas as the wise men travelled from afar bearing their gifts for this new born baby. Come and join us as we consider these themes together. Come and join us as we worship Christ the Lord this Christmas.
