News

Summer (if that is what we could call it this year) has passed and we are into the Autumn. Great news this autumn is that we have just appointed our first full-time youth worker - Graeme Hamilton.

We are extremely grateful to the Baptist Union of Scotland, The Gannochy Trust and The Robertson Trust for their support in this new venture. Graeme will have responsibility for overseeing all the youth work in the church - currently the Youth Cafe and Sunday Night Club as well as CBC Kids Club. He will also be looking at ways to extend the work amongst the local children and young people.

The activities of the church begin again during September. CBC Kids club begins on Wednesday 2 September from 6pm-7pm for Primary 1 to 4 children and then from 7pm-8pm for Primary 5 to 7 children. Youth cafe starts back on Friday 4 September from 8pm-9.30pm for those in Primary 7 through to Secondary 3. Sunday Night Club commences on Sunday 6 September at 8pm.

As well as these the Sunday School has restarted already and they meet during the morning service at 11am. The coffee morning starts back on Thursday 24 September at 10.15am with a fundrasier for MacMillan Cancer.

Our services are on each Sunday at 11am and 6.30pm. During the morning services Pastor Hamish is working through a series on the Ten Commandments '10C - Living God's Way' and in the evening he is leading us through Philippians thinking on 'Joyful Living in Christ'. If you miss out on any of these you can listen in to our Podcast which is available on the home page or from our sermon page.

We had a great holiday club 'Heavens Kitchen' and you can find out what went on as well as seeing some pictures by clicking here.

Please check out the video on our home page which shows the work amongst the young people in the church and community. There is also a video on the Easter Fun Day 2009 page.

We are still fundraising as we seek to clear the loan we have following the building project. Please view the fundraising page to see what is going on in the coming weeks.
